This course has declined noticeably over the past 2 years. The greens are in decent shape but many of the fairways are missing grass. The bunkers are soggy mud. The tee boxes are uneven without much grass. Sad to see it going this way but for another $20-30 you can play very good courses locally.

Solid course. Exelent staff! Course is consistent and nicely taken care of. Tee boxes need love but totally worth the money and time every day of the week. Tons of gators, snakes water birds, birds of prey, and little creatures. Great Sarasota course

Bent Tree is a former LPGA Tour venue, which is honestly incredible—because playing it today feels like discovering a retired championship course that’s been slowly reclaimed by nature and a lawn mower on life support. Let’s start with the basics: • Tee boxes are mostly sand with commitment issues. Hole 8 features a decorative welcome mat placed on what used to be grass. • Fairways are a fun mix of bare dirt, thin patches, and occasional grass sightings—kind of like a golf-themed scavenger hunt. • Cart paths? More like “choose your own adventure.” The route from 8 green to 9 tee looks like it lost a fight with a weed eater and a dump truck full of tree debris. • And for added excitement, a tee sign labeled Hole 16 is actually Hole 7, just to keep you questioning reality. The pace of play was elite—we played 6 holes in 2 hours, which really gave us time to soak in the scenery and reconsider our tee time decisions. Now, in fairness—the greens were actually excellent. Smooth, fast, and clearly the only part of the course that hasn’t given up. That’s what makes this place so frustrating. You can tell it used to be something special. Now it feels like a course caught halfway between

Solid course. I enjoyed the round. Pace of play was great, greens were nearly perfect. Only downsides would be some fairways on the front 9 were a bit patchy and tee boxes were sub par. It was soggy when I played but after a day of hard rain I can’t complain. Clubhouse was very nice and pro shop workers were kind and helpful. Overall really enjoyed the day and the whole layout was great. Would totally play again.

Overall, it was a solid course with a nice layout. The greens were in good shape—smooth and maintained. It rained for like 15 mins while we were there, and the fairways got spongy. There were a lot of soggy spots (it hadn't rained in the area for a few days). The tee boxes were also a letdown, with many either overgrown or noticeably worn down. Aside from that, course conditions were decent, and the pace of play was good. With some improvements to the tee areas, this could be a top-tier local course.
